I have used Reuben Katz services both as a piano technician and as a tuner. As a technician, he restored a Bechstein series 9 upright for me. As a tuner, he tunes the Bechstein and my Schimmel grand (to which he has also carried out some adjustment to the action). In both fields I find his work to be of the highest standard and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Reuben Katz is one of the finest keyboard technicians with whom I have ever worked. He brought the Queens Steinway to concert standard in Taunton when I played there and was helpful by staying on throughout the recital in order to fix any errant out-of-tune strings. Although this was not necessary, he touched up the piano again at the interval so that it was perfect for the second half of the concert. His standards are very high, his expert judgement extremely reliable and it was a great pleasure working with him.
