Reuben Katz trained as a Piano Tuner/Restorer at the Leeds College of Music. He graduated from the college in 1991, gaining a distinction and the prestigious Broadwood Prize.

He went on to work for one of the few remaining workshops in the UK that create hand crafted pianos.

In 1993, Reuben Katz relocated to Somerset where he successfully re-established a local restoration/tuning business from a retired owner.

Reuben Katz fast became a sought-after concert tuner and renowned name on the Somerset music scene. In addition, he continued to operate a specialist repair and restoration service from his workshop in Milverton.

In 1999 Reuben Katz took his piano skills to Spain where he worked at the Pianisimo Workshops in Granada. These workshops had previously been established with his assistance.

After 3 years in Spain, Reuben Katz returned to Somerset, England to re-open his specialist workshop in Milverton.
